Ingredients
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 can (6 oz) Italian-style tomato paste
- 2 large sweet onions cut in half and sliced
- 24 frozen Italian-style meatballs, 1 inch in diameter.
- 6 submarine or hoagie buns, split
- 3/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Directions
- Mix water, brown sugar and tomato past in 3 to 4 quart slow cooker. Stir in onions and frozen meatballs.
- Cover and cook on low heat setting 6 to 8 hours.
- Spoon meatball mixture into buns. sprinkle with cheese. 6 sandwiches.
