Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp. Butter
- 1 Yellow Onion
- 3 Celery Stocks
- 2 - 28oz cans Whole Peeled San Marzano Tomatoes
- 2 Beef Bouillon Cubes
- 1 Tbsp. white sugar
- t tsp. salt
- ¼ tsp dried basil
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 1 Turkish Bay Leaf
- 8oz - 16oz Heavy Whipping Cream, to taste
Directions
- Dice the Yellow Onion and Celery Stocks
- Melt butter in a 4qt pot over medium high heat.
- Add onion and celery to the pot and cook until translucent
- Add both cans of San Marzano Tomatoes to the pot.
- Add beef bouillon cubes, white sugar, salt, pepper, and basil.
- Using an immersion blender, blend everything in the pot until smooth
- Once the tomato mixture is smooth add the Turkish Bay Leaf.
- Reduce temperature to medium low and simmer for 30-45 minutes.
- Remove the bay leaf
- Just before serving, add the Heavy Whipping Cream.
